300 Cars Came Out For The Father's Day Car Show
Monday, June 22, 2009

This past weekend, Peterborough Speedway cancelled the races because of more rain. Though the plan was to run the races on Sundays for any more rain-out dates, the Speedway decided not to do it this past Sunday because so many people had already made plans for Father’s Day weekend.
And that was the case for Doug Hanchard and Kim Mitchell, who had already planned to appear at the Father’s Day Car Show at the Peterborough Zoo. Over 300 cars showed up with strong attendance by the community. They invited the children to sit in the race car, and that in itself created line-ups!
All proceeds for the 50/50 Draw, concession food profits, and donations went to the Zoo to help pay for the cost of feed and supplies.
