George Evans Is Back, Thanks To Allen Racing

John and Darlene Evans are pleased to announce an agreement with Allen Racing to rent their previous award-winning Super Comp Dragster, with George Evans driving .

This car will temporarily replace the destroyed Lucas Silver Bullet and allow Evans Racing to fulfill its obligations to its sponsors.

The car was last seen in Medicine Hat, Alberta when George won a Wally while participating at the National Open in August of 2007.

"Its like an old shoe - a friend, albeit much slower, and much different to drive," said George. "There is a big difference between a 7 and an 8.90 second pass. This car has a pedigree and has taken many drivers, including myself and my brother John, to many awards."

"As always, I would like to thank my brother and sister-in-law for this opportunity to compete on such a high level."

The car will appear at the Mission National Open and the Alcohol Challenge at Ashcroft later this summer.
