- Lucas Oil Related Companies. We may disclose your information among our various parents, affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively, “Lucas Companies”) as needed for: data processing and storage; providing you with access to our Services; providing customer support; making decisions about service improvements; content development; and for other purposes described in the “How We Use Your Information” section above. Where we disclose PI with the Lucas Companies, we will require them to honour this Policy.
- Vendors and Service Providers. We use other companies, agents, or contractors to perform Services on our behalf or to assist us with the provision of our Services to you. For example, we engage service providers to provide marketing, advertising, communications, security, infrastructure, and IT services, to customize, personalize and optimize our Services, to provide customer service, to analyze and enhance data (including data about your interactions with our Services), and to process and administer consumer surveys. We do not authorize service providers to use or disclose your PI except in connection with providing their services (which includes maintaining and improving their services).
- Promotional offers. Through our social media or other pages, we may offer joint promotions or programs that, for your participation, will require us to disclose your information to third parties. Additional terms and conditions apply to promotional offers which will be provided to you prior to your participation. In fulfilling these types of promotions, we may share your name and other information in connection with fulfilling the incentive. Please note that these third parties are responsible for their own privacy practices.
- Protection of us and others. 6. Your Choices / Withdrawing Consent
Subject to applicable law, you may also choose to withdraw consent from our processing of your PI. However, if you withdraw consent with respect to PI we need to provide our Services, we may no longer be able to provide those Services to you. Please also note that if you choose not to provide certain PI, we may be unable to provide you some or all of the Services or content on our Website.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, logical, technical, physical, and managerial measures to help safeguard your PI against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use and modification. These measures are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risks of processing your PI. Unfortunately, no measures can be guaranteed to provide one hundred percent (100%) security. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the security of your PI.
8. Other Websites, Platforms and Applications
The Services may be provided through and/or utilize features (such as voice controls) operated by third-party platforms or contain links to sites operated by third parties whose policies regarding the handling of information may differ from ours. These websites and platforms have separate and independent privacy or data policies, privacy policies, notices, and terms of use, which we recommend you read carefully. In addition, you may encounter third-party applications that interact with the Services.
The Website may contain videos and embedded content provided by YouTube, including visible content and/or feeds scripts embedded in the Website’s code. Our use of YouTube requires us to implement certain application programming interfaces (APIs) from YouTube, which allow for data collection, disclosure and use by YouTube pursuant to the Google Privacy Policy available here. You may revoke YouTube’s access to your data by visiting the Google security settings page available here.
The Website may allow you to connect and share data with social media platforms. These features may require us to use cookies, plug-ins, and APIs provided by such social media platforms to facilitate those communications and features. The Websites may also use advertising networks and services offered by social media platforms to deliver advertising content. Use of these services requires the applicable social media platforms to implement cookies or pixel tags to deliver ads to you while you access a Website.
Anything you post on social media may be seen by the public. Your use of social media is governed by the privacy policies and terms of the third parties that own and operate those websites and not by this Policy. 9. Children
Our Website and Services are not intended for persons under the age of majority. If you become aware that your child under the age of majority in the jurisdiction in Canada in which you reside has provided us with PI without your consent, please contact us at privacy@lucasoil.com. If we become aware that your child under the age of majority has provided us with PI without parental consent, we will take steps to remove the information as permitted by law.
No one under the age of 14 may provide any PI to or on our Website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you are under 14, do not use or provide any information on our Website or through any of its features, or register on our Website or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. If we learn we have collected or received PI from a child under 14 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
10. International Data Transfers
If you are using the Services from outside of the United States, your PI may be transferred to, stored, and/or processed in the United States. Consequently, your personal information may be subject to the local laws of the jurisdiction to which it is transferred, and it may be accessible to local governments, tribunals, law enforcement and regulatory agencies. The data protection and other laws of the United States and other countries might not be as comprehensive as those in your jurisdiction. We will generally retain your PI for as long as is necessary to satisfy the purposes for which it was collected, or for a longer period as may be required or permitted by applicable law. We will also retain your PI as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
