Lucas DOT 3 Brake Fluid is a high quality blend of polyethylene glycol ethers and additives which meet or exceed the industry minimum dry boiling point of 401'F. It meets the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) No. 116 and SAE J1703 specifications. Lucas DOT 3 Brake Fluid is recommended for use in both disc and drum brake system and clutch system where this type of product is called out for.

Jim Burrows uses Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer in 1990 Volkswagan Jetta diesel

My 90 Jetta Diesel has over 465,000 Kilometers on it. About a month ago I had discovered that Motor oil had begun leaking into my coolant. I have been using LUCAS oil stabilizer for the past three years (200,000 Km's) with every oil change at 5000 kilometers faithfully. I was a firm believer that the extra money it costs me every oil change by putting in the LUCAS will eventually pay off. I found a machine shop locally. They said it may be the head gasket. Before doing any work they had advised doing a compression test to determine if it would be worth it. We were all surprised to find that the compression was still above 400 PSI. (New was spec'd out at 425 PSI.) Needless to say I went ahead with the head gasket work. I tell everyone that the credit goes to LUCAS and the fantastic product that you have. I will continue to use your product for as long as I have the diesel Jetta, and I am confident that after this experience, 1,000,000 Kilometers is not out of the question for this engine.
